Another exciting month!!

This month Linguistics Justice League’s ‘Edulang‘ team presented to T-Mobile’s senior leadership as a recipient of the $5000 ChangeMaker award. LJL also partnered with Visit.org to offer linguistic justice training to corporate organizations. The training addresses language bias, discrimination, and promotes inclusivity through AI-based language learning and discussions.  LJL continues to add more books to EduLang and we met our goal by adding an additional 200+ books in 5 additional languages in the Edulang library. Last but not least, LJL welcomes our newest member, Sophia!

Thanks to T-Mobile, Ashoka, and Our Dedicated Team

We want to express our gratitude to T-Mobile, Ashoka, and the entire team who have been with us on this journey. The seed funding and expert guidance we’ve received will help us take the EduLang app to the next level, making information and data accessible to any low-resource language speakers.

Linguistic Justice Training Partnership: A Path to Workplace Equality

Linguistics Justice League partnered with Visit.org to offer corporate training in linguistic justice. LJL covers the language bias and discrimination, while promoting inclusivity as part of this training. Participants delve into LJL’s AI-driven language learning and engage in discussions to foster effective communication and equality. We intent to bring awareness to combat bias in the workplace!

A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Donors

LJL raised $500 for backpacks for refugee kids in partnership with the Refugee Resettlement Office. We extend our gratitude to Shankar Narayan from Truth Lens Corp for their generous donation.

Sophia, a high school junior and coding enthusiast, discovered her passion for computer algorithms during her freshman year. She’s now engaged in AI research within computational sciences and, inspired by her multicultural background, supports LJL’s mission to preserve languages and cultures worldwide. Sophia recently reached a milestone by adding 100 books to the Edulang library in five languages. We sincerely thank her for her dedication and contribution to our mission of fostering language diversity and cultural celebration.
